Egbin Power Plc, Nigeria’s largest power generation company, has opened its 2025 PowerUp internship programme to undergraduate students with hands-on experience in the energy sector. The Egbin PowerUp internship programme is a six-month initiative that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, which are entrance to innovation, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. The programme usually runs from July to December, and 2025 application is now opened.
At the Egbin PowerUp internship programme, here are what you'll gain:
- Practical Training: As an intern, you'll work on real-world projects with seasoned professionals at Egbin’s power plant, the largest single-generating station in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a 1,320 MW capacity. That's cool right? Well, it's not all.

However, it's important to note that undergraduate in eligible field of study are only allowed to apply for the internship programme. Eligible fields includes: Engineering, Applied Industrial Science, Computer Science, or any related fields.

However, it's important to note that to qualify for the Egbin PowerUp Internship Programme, you must be an undergraduate student in a recognized Nigerian university studying any of the eligible courses under Engineering, Applied Industrial Science, and Computer Science, and maintain a minimum CGPA of 2:1 (Second-Class Upper Division) or equivalent.
