The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled a date for the 2025 UTME mop-up exam across Nigeria. The exam coordinator set Saturday, June 28, 2025 for candidates who missed the main and resit UTME, those with biometric verification problems, and additional candidates from prior sessions, to conduct their mop-up examinations.
Candidates are advised to print their exam slip and arrive at the exam centre early to avoid being disqualified, as any form of lateness will not be tolerated.
According to JAMB, the mop-up exam will engage 5,096 spill-over candidates from earlier sessions and those who encountered biometric verification issues during the main UTME. Additionally, JAMB has extended a one-time opportunity for the 2025 season to 91,742 candidates who missed either or both the main and resit exams.
In total, 96,838 candidates will participate in the mop-up exam across 183 centres nationwide, with additional candidates placed on standby, according to the JAMB’s official statement. Candidates who are preparing for the mop-up exam are advised to start printing their examination notification slips from tomorrow, Monday, June, 23, 2025.
However, it's important to note that you can only print your UTME notification slip via the official JAMB portal. The slip is necessary to be with you to the exam centre as it contains your UTME details such as exam date, exam centre and time.
In addition to JAMB's statement, candidates are warned that late arrivals to exam centres may results in disqualification of the candidates. So, the exam coordinator urges candidates especially those that are scheduled for the first session on Saturday to arrive at their exam centre between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., before the 8:00 a.m. start time.
