The Lagos Business School (LBS) Young Talents Programme (YTP) is a two-day, scholarship-based career development initiative created to mentor and empower young Nigerian leaders under 30 with a first or second-class upper degree.
The 2025 edition application has begun and Lagos Business School is calling brilliant young graduates to apply for the YTP. The programme offers career, leadership, and entrepreneurship seminars, action learning projects, mentorship by LBS faculty, and networking with industry experts and alumni.
So, if you're under 30 and have strong academic results, this is for you. The LBS's YTP is held annually, and this year own marks the ninth edition of the event. The programme is scheduled to run from 25th of July to 26th of July 2025.
The goal? The program aims to immerse participants in LBS’s culture, provide practical experience, and prepare them for successful careers or advanced academic pursuits, with some participants advancing to the LBS Management Scholars Academy for doctoral (Ph.D) preparation.
That is to say, you’ll gain the skills and mindset to lead teams, launch a business, or pursue a PhD. Some participants may even get the chance to join the LBS Management Scholarship Academy for further support in research and academic careers.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirement is simple. This simply means who the school wants and what is expected of the applicants. The school is looking for:
- Young graduates, under 30 years, with first class grade, second class grade, or equivalent grade if the applicant is not a graduate of a University.
- Applicants include final-year undergraduates, master’s students, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, or recent graduates.
However, it's important to note that previous YTP participants are not eligible to reapply again. More so, eligible applicants need to submit a completed YTP application form, a resume, proof of academic qualifications, and a one-minute introductory video highlighting their educational background, leadership experiences, and work experience (if applicable).
How to Apply for YTP
The application process is simple once you're eligible and can meet all the requirements. The upcoming edition will begin on 25th of July 2025, and end on 26th of July 2025. It's a 2-days programme.
